The iridescent hanging chandeliers, rich red carpeting and deep burgundy walls of the El Rey provided a perfect backdrop to a tranquil yet passionate night of music; with Lights, Lydia, Lovedrug and Copeland playing to a sold-out theater. One band after another delivered solid performances, Lydia in particular put on a simple yet powerful and moving six-song set.

Paper globes scattered on the stage and speakers illuminated Copeland throughout the night with soft white light, creating contrast to and enhancing the colorful hues of the stage lights. The sharply dressed band, suited up in collared shirts and jackets, delivered a cohesive and captivating performance, heightening the presence of the instrumentals and effectively translating their recorded sound into a stirring live set.

Copeland intermixed songs from Eat, Sleep, Repeat with ones off their most recent release, You Are My Sunshine, charming the audience with commanding melodic vocals and compelling instrumentals.
