After months on tour, the poster girl for bi-curious make-out sessions, Katy Perry, made her way back home to SoCal to perform at the Palladium. Before a packed house of hipsters and Hello Kitty-clad party girls, Perry powered through an 80-minute set, belting out favorites like the dance-y “Hot N’ Cold” and a rockier version of “Ur So Gay.”

Aside from the expected glitter and cheeky stage décor (inflatable strawberries and pink flamingos), Perry was adorably engaging, taking time to speak to fans both in the audience and those watching the live stream at home. If you were lucky enough to be standing in the front row, you may have even gotten a kiss from the songstress during her infamous party anthem “I Kissed a Girl” when Perry boldly dipped her body head-first into a crowd of screaming fans.

The night’s shining moment: an emotionally charged acoustic performance of “Thinking of You.” Stripped from all the glitz and the gimmicks, pop music’s reigning It Girl proved she has one heck of a voice.
