The Oyster House Saloon and Restaurant has filled the bellies of Valley residents and Hollywood elite for over 25 years. The family owned and operated establishment prides itself on offering something a little different from TGIFridays and other chain restaurants while providing a great atmosphere to meet friends for some drinks and share several appetizers.

What better way to start off your night than a tangy oyster shooter for only 75 cents? Oyster House presents this daily bargain from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and 11p.m. until closing. The oysters here are delivered every day and you can choose from three other tasty ways to meet your fresh oyster quotient for the week. There's the classic half dozen oysters on the half shell.

Top the slippery little suckers with cocktail sauce, horseradish and a squeeze of lemon and you're good to go. Grilled oysters are topped with cheese and Marinara Sauce in Oysters Parmesan. My favorite, the spinach and Parmesan topped Oysters RockArthur are scrumptious. Make sure to check out their daily specials. One of their special appetizers is a Spanish-style shrimp cocktail that features huge shrimp chilled in pico de gallo salsa. Pile the shrimp, salsa and sliced avocado on a warm slice of garlic toast for a unique taste sensation.

If you're hankering for something a little greasy to line the stomach before a night of drinking, try a plate of crunchy fried claim strips or calamari. A steaming bowl of New England clam chowder might also do the trick.

On the other end of the spectrum, are the salads. The “famous” chopped salad is a bargain at $6.95. Add chicken or blackened fish for $3 and make it a meal to share with the crew. The crisp lettuce and bits of bacon paired with juicy tomatoes and Gorgonzola perfectly hits the spot.

The unique Hot Calamari Salad is a treat. Calamari, mushrooms, assorted pasta are served on a bed of romaine lettuce and drizzled with warm Caesar Dressing.

The Oyster House menu not only boasts creative dishes, but all of the classics in Italian cuisine as well. Shrimp Scampi, Italian Sausage and Peppers and Chicken Piccata, Marsala and Parmigiana are just a few of the entrees to choose from.

Each dish is served on a plate of pasta done to al dente perfection. The Linguini DeLaCasa and Mostaccoli are tantalizing.

All of the main courses are huge. Order two or three and share them with your table full of friends so everyone can have a taste!

Sip a complimentary glass of homemade peach vodka while enjoying the late-night entertainment after your meal. On any given evening, you'll find local bands or singer-songwriters set to serenade you and make you get out of your seat and dance.

The Oyster House's wide selection of cocktails will also succeed in making you want to get up and shake your booty. The outdoor smoking patio, known as the Concrete Beach, is the perfect place to catch your breath.

Decorated to make you feel like you're at a watering hole on the beach, the patio, as well as the interior's décor, capture all that the restaurant's owners aim to make you feel – that you're right at home whenever you visit.
