If you haven’t yet caught “Gilmore Girls,” now’s your chance. It’s one of TV’s unexpected delights.

In light of recent fare like the vapid “Gossip Girl” with little or no warmth or intelligence, “Gilmore Girls” stands out for its witty dialogue, peppered with fast and furious cultural references. The overall tone of the show owes more to screwball comedies of the ’30s and ’40s than tweenie bopper shows dumbed down for network television.

Girl Power at its finest, “Gilmore Girls” is now packaged together in its full seven season glory. The first six seasons especially provide solid bang for your buck with winning performances from the mother-daughter duo of Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel. The final season falls off a bit with the unfortunate loss of the series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino, but of course, you’ll have to see how it all ends.

Extras: “Welcome to the Gilmore Girls” documentary, deleted scenes, pop-culture montages, a “gilmoreism” book, commentary by series creators and behind-the-scenes featurette
