Maybe it’s Maybelline – or maybe just Chipotle.

The Mexican-food inspired restaurant chain is spicing up the make-up industry with the recent announcement of a partnership featuring vegan and cruelty-free makeup.

Alongside e.l.f. Cosmetics company, Chipotle will release products including a 12-color eyeshadow palette inspired by its ingredients such as rice, guacamole, pinto beans and salsa.

And customers will get snacks with that. The $16 palette kit also includes an offer for a free order of chips and salsa from a Chipotle restaurant.

Other products include a Make-It-Hot lip gloss for $8 and a $10 Extra Guac Face Sponge set.

An $18 makeup bag resembles a Chipotle brown paper bag.

“We’re always looking for opportunities to lead culture and make authentic connections with Gen-Z alongside brands that share similar values,” Chipotle Mexican Grill’s senior marketing executive Tressie Lieberman said with Thursday’s announcement. “Following our first launch with e.l.f., which sold out in less than four minutes last spring, we’ve taken our collab to the next level with beauty products celebrating our real ingredients in totally unexpected ways.”

Starting March 10, the limited edition e.l.f. x Chipotle collection will be available exclusively on,, and on the mobile-first virtual shopping platform, NTWRK.

Chipotle is also launching a new limited menu option called the “Eyes. Chips. Face. Bowl,” a vegan entrée curated by celebrity drag queens Trixie Mattel and Kim Chi, celebrating what the company referred to as “the dual commitment of e.l.f. and Chipotle to support plant-based lifestyles and responsibly-sourced products.”

“There is nothing tastier or prettier than the combination of burritos and makeup!” e.l.f. marketing chief Kory Marchisotto said. “We have long admired Chipotle and we are thrilled to come together to do things that neither one of us have done before. We share the same renegade spirit and are both committed to bringing the best ingredients to our consumers at extraordinary prices.”
