Discworld is a medieval fantasy world, which is a disc carried by four elephants standing on the back of a turtle hurtling through space. Pratchett has been mining this world for eccentric characters for decades.
Post-Shrek, these animated adaptations feel a bit tame, but their Monty Python-esque jabs at medieval culture and fantasy literature are consistently amusing. Pratchett fans shouldn’t be disappointed.
