Doves

I wish I had an accurate gauge for Doves’ success back in the U.K., because I’m not sure if they ever quite got due respect here in the States. Their MySpace only features one-minute clips of their songs, which is usually code for, “We’re a big deal. We (our label) don’t give away anything for free. This will inspire you to buy the album.” Which is fine in theory if your demographic is the adult contemporary crowd that hasn’t taken to the ’Space yet and actually buys hard copies of albums, but … that would defeat the purpose of putting. Them. On. The. MySpace. Regardless, I think my intent was originally to say I still have some fondness for Doves in my heart. Or something. - Brian Overly
