After a strong start to their five-game road trip in San Antonio (44-28) last Wednesday (winning 92-83), the Lakers’ seven-game winning streak came to a screeching halt in Oklahoma City on Friday. The 54-19 Lakers faltered against the 44-28 Thunder, failing to keep up with the young squad’s speed and putting up their lowest score of the season, 75, against the Thunder’s 91 points. However, the Lakers bounced back Saturday in Houston with a 109-101 victory over the 36-36 Rockets, with a season-high 30 points from Pau Gasol.

The Lakers finish up the road trip today in Atlanta against the 47-26 Hawks before returning home to host two teams who will also be heading to the Western Conference playoffs: the 48-26 Jazz Friday and Spurs Sunday.
