The USC Trojans ranked 7th for the 2012 football recruiting class; their signings included three five-star prospects. Alabama, the defending national champion, placed first in the rankings followed by Texas, Florida, Ohio State, Stanford and Michigan. USC is expected to be ranked in the top five in both the coaches and AP preseason polls.
