In need of another defender, the Los Angeles Galaxy sent midfielder Paolo Cardozo to Chivas USA for Brazilian defender David Junior Lopes. The move strengthens L.A.'s back line, but it is unsure how Lopes will actually fit in with the Galaxy defense, which has performed poorly overall through this season. The Galaxy are 1-3-0 thus far in MLS.
