On Friday, a judge sentenced three women, who form part of the punk trio Pussy Riot, to two years in prison. The group staged an anti-Kremlin protest on the altar of Moscow's main Russian Orthodox church. "They are in jail because it is Putin's personal revenge," opposition leader Alexei Navalny said in the courtroom, according to reports. "This verdict was written by Vladimir Putin."
