The USC Trojans football team captured a 42-29 victory at Syracuse Saturday. With the win, USC improved to 2-0 for the year - just before entering Pac-12 play and traveling to Palo Alto for a showdown against the Stanford Cardinal.

Matt Barkley threw for 187 passing yards and six touchdowns. Running back Silas Redd contributed 108 rushing yards on 15 carries, while Robert Woods had 10 catches for 93 yards and two touchdowns. Marqise Le had 11 receptions for 66 yards and three touchdowns.

USC faces Stanford Saturday, Sept. 15, in Palo Alto at 4:30 p.m.
