The Lakers have announced that point guard Steve Blake has experienced a foot injury. Blake suffered a puncture wound to his left foot after stepping on a spike strip in a parking lot. The back-up PG is to miss an estimated three weeks; he's been prohibited from participating in any impact exercises throughout that time.

Blake averaged 5.2 ppg, 3.3 assists and 33.5 percent from 3-point range. In his absence, Chris Duhon and Darius Morris are expected are expected to be options for the Lakers back up PG role behind two-time MVP Steve Nash.
