Now that October is finally here, it means the not-so-quiet Los Angeles Fashion Week is right around the corner. A lot of excited fashionistas have been anticipating this weeklong fashion extravaganza. Even though there are quite a few events going on, Project Ethos is definitely a highlight among them that you don’t want to miss.

What exactly makes this fashion event unique and stand out from the bunch?

Founder and CEO of Project Ethos Jason Peskin says, “We are the only event in the world that combines the industry and consumer, fashion, music and art! [It is] a forward-thinking, stimulating event for everyone involved.”

The first Project Ethos event was held in 2005. Peskin says the reason behind the birth of Project Ethos “was to help a young designer with no connections, money or means to promote her clothing line.”

He added, “It snowballed from there, and we just kept making it better.”

Since then, this one-of-a-kind event has been on several missions.

“[Our mission is] to propel our participants forward in their brands and careers,” says Peskin.

Through participating in this quarterly event, these emerging designers will go on a wild ride that can speed up their brands and careers. In addition, the event is all-inclusive. Peskin states that everyone from retail buyers to showroom reps, stylists, media and consumers will be attending Project Ethos, and all of them will have the opportunity to take a glance at the future’s hottest fashion, music and art.

Entering its seventh year, the event is stronger than ever and for the first time tonight, Project Ethos will merge with Downtown L.A. Artwalk (a free and self-guided public art phenomenon that aims to bring together art lovers and community friends to the ever-evolving downtown Los Angeles) to produce its very first L.A. Fashion Week.

This showcase will combine the power of fashion, music and art at the premier special event venue in Los Angeles – Exchange LA. On top of featuring Project Ethos’ signature runway showcase, there will also be a live performance, multiple DJs and a sprawling art experience in the downstairs gallery.

When being asked about what kinds of entertainment and live performances will be provided at the event, Peskin says there will be three fashion shows from 10 different designers featuring Goorin Bros (hats), a live painting, art gallery, DJ sets and more.

The fall show’s designer lineup includes Kitty Montgomery, Jose Galeana (Galeana Designs), Jennifer Krischer (Linden), Felicia Barth-Aasen (The Collective) and more. The third fashion show will feature Goorin Bros, where the iconic hat makers’ latest collection will be showcased.

There will also be a “Synthesis” after party, complete with DJ sets, fashion shows, live performances and special guests to continue the L.A. Fashion Week celebration.

In addition, there will also be an affluence of goodies to satisfy all the artistic fashionsitas’ desires out there. A dynamic combination of art will be displayed in the gallery downstairs throughout the entire night, and guests will have the honor to witness a live painting and a pop-up gallery with Tanina Jackson, Lise & James of NDPTH, Max Neutra, Mark Jacobs, James Rhodimer and Amy Baca López.

Come out tonight to join in some fashionable fun and experience a rare and exclusive red carpet event. You will be amazed at how much more you will learn about the freshest and forthcoming fashion, music and art trends of the world by the end of the event.
