Distinguished style experts, fashions most renowned bloggers, designers and famous faces are just some of the guests set to be at Simply Stylist during Los Angeles Fashion Week.

Founded by Sarah Pollack Boyd in 2009, Simply Stylist connects the average shopper to designers, stylists and editors in the fashion industry during a fashion panel and shopping event.

The hand-selected fashion panelists this year include designer and former “The Hills” star Whitney Port, celebrity stylist Brad Goreski, blogger Aimee Song, style expert Louise Roe, and E!’s Catt Sadler, who will be hosting the event. This Simply Stylist panel represents every side of the fashion industry. Goreski, who is also a TV personality, has a show on Bravo called “It’s a Brad, Brad World,” and he has styled everyone from Jessica Alba to Rashida Jones. Then, there is Aimee Song. Song has a successful fashion blog, “Song of Style,” which has an audience of more than 750,000 followers, and she has partnered with brands such as Macy’s and Levi’s.

“The goal is showcasing the behind-the-scenes talents and experts, to help women who love fashion and beauty learn trends directly from the experts or get their foot in the door,” said Boyd in a recent interview with Campus Circle.

With a background in fashion public relations, Boyd first came up with the idea for Simply Stylist when, after nine years in the industry and working with other fashion mavens, she realized people would really be interested in learning how the celebrities dress directly from the people that dress them.

“I thought: I’m onto something to here,” she said. “A year later, I left my job fully and focused on Simply Stylist. March, last year, was our first full-scale event…it was expanded to 300 people, five experts, a host, a shopping event and networking lunch – a whole day of fashion.”

This year’s Simply Stylist event will begin with an introduction of the panelists, and they will give advice, share how they made it into the fashion industry and answer questions.

The next part of the event will involve discussing fashion trends. The panelists will talk about how to incorporate trends into each individual’s personal wardrobe.

After the panel discussions, the attendees will then have the opportunity to join in an exclusive shopping event that features designer labels sold at discounted prices. They will get to sip on 100-calorie cocktails, indulge in manicures and speak with an on-site stylist during this shopping portion.

There is also a networking portion at the event that allows the attendees to network with the on-site experts and experience priceless face-to-face interaction with fashion A-listers.

“A lot of attendees come just to network. Living in L.A., it’s really hard to a) make friends, and b) network with the right people. It takes a lot of time,” said Boyd.

The last 30-minutes of the networking lunch is a meet and greet, giving attendees the opportunity to make those vital connections.

Overall, Simply Stylist gives each guest the chance to enter the world of fashion with the people who shape it.

Incorporating fashion tips and tricks, networking in the industry and shopping, this event has everything for anyone who loves fashion.
