Former University of Southern California professor, Walter Lee Willaims, won’t be spending this summer escaping students. On Monday June 17, Williams became one the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives for sex crimes against children abroad. Currently, the bureau has identified as least 10 alleged victims between multiple Third World Countries throughout Southeast Asia and Polynesia.

Williams, an author and Fulbright Award winner, taught anthropology, gender studies and history while at USC. Throughout his time in academia, the main focus of his research was sexuality in the Southeast Asia/Pacific region. Williams marks the 500th person ever to grace the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted.
