Nordstrom has recently started labeling its "Top Pinned Items" in its stores based off of Pinterest. The items are marked with a little red "P," which helps draw attention to the clothes, shoes and accessories that consumers are most attracted to. The idea has been executed in 13 Nordstrom locations so far. The marketing tactic could be good or bad. On one hand, when a shopper sees a little red "P," she knows it's popular and therefore trendy; however, this could be a turn off for women who want their style to appear unique.
