Apple has hired Yves St. Laurent CEO Paul Deneve to work on “special projects” for the computer company. Deneve is reported to have worked with Apple years ago, before making a name for himself in the fashion industry. Apple is no stranger to hiring executives that work in fashion; Mickey Drexler the CEO of J. Crew is also on the company payroll. Even Apple CEO Tim Cook dabbles in the fashion world as a director at Nike. Why are there so many crossovers between fashion and technology within Apple? Maybe these “special projects” will lead to a more fashionable iPhone coming our way.
