Did you know that Mountain High's West Resort used to be called Big Pines Park until Dick Woodworth changed the name to Mountain High in 1975 and began adding resort amenities like snow-making (which consisted of little more than chipped ice shot off the back of a flat bed)? Did you also know that during this time, snowboarding was getting its roots, and Mountain High was the first Southern California resort to allow it?

You can find out more about the history of Big Pines and the current Woodworth Gulch this fall by checking out Mountain High's new full-length movie, #WOODWORTH. According to a prepared statement, this film "pairs the area’s historic beginnings with the best riding of today in the region’s ONLY all-natural terrain park. #WOODWORTH will have you on your feet screaming, 'You WOOD if you could!'"
