They're cheap and easy to make, which is why ramen noodles have been a popular choice among college students. But to Keizo Shimamoto, real ramen is so much more than just noodles.

After flying to Japan, Shimamoto ate 55 bowls of ramen and visited different cities. He wanted to put American and Japanese cultures together, so he came up with the "Ramen Burger." It’s not a new idea, but Shimamoto does his own take of a ramen burger, which is a beef patty sandwiched between two fried, chewy ramen "buns." He wants to expand across the country.
