Waking up and taking a pregnancy test is terrifying for most college women, especially when they have so many goals that pregnancy could hinder. However, many college mothers have illustrated that it is still possible to achieve those goals.

Chaunie Brusie and Rachel Fraser got pregnant in college, but managed to earn degrees and begin careers without resorting to abortion. Brusie is currently a mother working on her Doctorate in Psychology; Fraser is a mother of three, has a career as a nurse and is even writing a book on pregnancy, according to USA Today.

But how much help do colleges provide students when they become pregnant? College campuses emphasize birth control and STD’s more than pregnancy, according to USA today. Many colleges don’t provide day care for students with children and may even make students live off campus.
