The holidays just got a little better.

After the surprising success of Universal Picture's The Best Man Holiday, director and writer Malcolm D. Lee is in talks to return with a third movie, according to the Hollywood Reporter. If all goes as planned, Lee will write and direct the third movie, and he will produce with Sean Daniel.

The Best Man Holiday has been a hit at the box office, raking in $30.1 million following its release this past weekend. A sequel to The Best Man, which released in 1999, The Best Man Holiday is a rollercoaster of emotions, filled with dramatic and outstanding comedic moments.

Harper (Taye Diggs), Lance (Morris Chestnut), Quentin (Terrence Howard), Robyn (Sanaa Lathan), Mia (Monica Calhoun), Shelby (Melissa De Sousa), Jordan (Nia Long) and Candace (Regina Hall) reunited in this second installment. In the film, the group of friends spend the holidays with married couple Lance and Mia. During their time together, marriages experience snags, love is put to the test, friendships attempt to be mended and a heartbreaking tragedy ensues.

Howard's hilarious, albeit vulgar, character ends the film with the perfect setup for a third movie if Lee decides to go forward with it.
