University of California, Los Angeles' (UCLA) head football coach, Jim Mora, has agreed to a six-year extension. Mora originally signed a five-year, $11.235-million contract when he was hired, according to the Los Angeles Times. His contract will now last until 2023.

Since Washington University's coach, Steve Sarkisian, left to take the head coaching job at the University of Southern California (USC), people wondered if Mora would take the vacancy at Washington. After all, according to CBS Sports, Mora did play for Washington and was even a graduate assistant on the staff.

CBS Sports states UCLA athletic director Dan Guerrero said: "We are excited about the commitment Jim has made to our student-athletes and this University and feel this extension further demonstrates UCLA's commitment to building a championship-caliber football program."
