For the following two weeks, Southern California promises to host a number of kick-ass shows for our musical pleasure and perfect for the holidays!

KISS FM Jingle Ball: Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Robin Thicke & More
When: Friday, Dec. 6
Where: STAPLES Center
Why You Should Go: The lineup pretty much explains it all.

Rockapella
When: Saturday, Dec. 7
Where: Caltech’s Beckman Auditorium
Why You Should Go: The group has made appearances on “The Today Show,” “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” and “Good Morning America,” and they will be performing some of our favorite holiday classics. Plus, acapella is cool.

Jay Z
When: Monday, Dec. 9
Where: STAPLES Center
Why You Should Go: Because you missed him when he toured with Justin Timberlake during the summer, and you really, really regret it. Also, I heard a rumor that his live shows are even better than Beyoncé’s!

94.7 The Waves Soulful Xmas
When: Friday, Dec. 13
Where: Nokia Theatre at L.A. Live.
Why You Should Go: Christmas songs always sound better when R&B and soul artists perform them. On this night, you have singer KEM, saxophonist Kenny G and R&B group After 7. If you’re a male in a relationship, take your lady.

El Ten Eleven
When: Saturday, Dec. 14
Where: El Rey
Why You Should Go: We’ve been to a live show before, and although their music has no lyrics, this duo is able to convey strong emotions just using bass, drums and other sounds.

Christmas with LeAnn Rimes
When: Thursday, Dec. 19 – Saturday, Dec. 21
Where: Segerstrom Center for the Arts
Why You Should Go: Don’t “fight the moonlight,” and head out Thursday night to see our favorite pop/country singer in person. Sometimes we forget that Rimes is more than just a subject of salacious gossip (we’re referring to her longstanding feud with “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Brandi Glanville, of course). Rimes will be performing Christmas songs and some of her old hits.
