Popular fashion retailer American Apparel finds itself in headlines after one of the New York City flagships placed mannequins with visible pubic hair in the store's windows. Pedestrians walking by are stopping in their tracks and taking photos of this daring new marketing strategy.

According to the Huffington Post, an associate at the store said the mannequins are meant to convey "rawness and realness of sexuality." It certainly seems to be working and increasing sales, since more pedestrians are curiously looking at the mannequins and wandering inside the store.
