Ever dreamt of taking home an Academy Award? Sorry, we can’t help you there. But if you’d at least like to hold and have your picture taken with one of the industry’s most coveted men, you can at "Meet the Oscars," a special exhibition being held at the Hollywood & Highland Center through Friday, Mar. 3.

The exhibition will house this year’s crop of Oscar statuettes – which will be flown in from Chicago on Feb. 2 on "Oscar 1," the special United Airlines "Flight of the Oscars" – before they are handed out to their rightful recipients at the 78th Academy Awards ceremony on Sunday, Mar. 5.

Aside from being able to hold an Oscar, the exhibition will also allow guests to peruse a variety of Academy Award-related displays, including photographs featuring winners from previous ceremonies. People attending the exhibition will also be able to purchase this year’s limited, vintage commemorative Oscar posters.

When the exhibit closes, the Oscars will be guarded heavily until the Awards show airs on Sunday evening, Mar. 5.

"Meet the Oscars" is located on the third level of the Hollywood & Highland complex. Hours: Friday-Saturday 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sunday-Thursday noon to 8 p.m. Price: Free. For more information, call (310) 247-3600 or visit www.oscars.org.
