To further its goal of being a health-conscientious campus, the University of Southern California (USC) has introduced Nekter Juice Bar to its options of on-campus eateries. Located near the Architecture School, students have appreciated its array of juices, smoothies and acai bowels since the start of the semester.

Nekter originated with Steve and Alexis Schulze, a couple looking to create the perfect blend of fruits and vegetables to deliver a juice that was both delicious and nutritious. Seeking to improve general health and well-being, these home juicers are committed to spreading the joy of their juices.

After opening its first shop in Costa Mesa, Nekter has since spread to locations throughout Orange County and Los Angeles, one of them being the USC campus.

Overall, the response to Nektar has been very positive. Students have expressed their enjoyment with the healthy eating option, especially those who live on-campus. Its convenience allows students to easily access nutritious and tasty treats, a stark alternative to the snacks offered at other locations.

Some students, however, feel that the food is not up to par with some of the other on-campus venues.
