The Fault in Our Stars' three-minute extended trailer released Monday, and within those three minutes you'll find a ton of laughter...as well as many tears.
Based on John Green's novel of the same name, the film depicts the relationship between two teens, Hazel (Shailene Woodley) and Augustus (Ansel Elgort), who met at a cancer support group. Hazel seems a little reluctant and skeptical of starting a relationship with Augustus, because she has cancer, but their relationship seems to flourish on humor and obvious attraction.
The trailer is captivating and funny, and even those who haven't read the book will be drawn in by Woodley's character and the storyline itself. Hazel seems like a different role for the Divergent actress, but the character also has a little bit of the sarcasm and comedy we're familiar with seeing in Woodley.
In addition to the jokes are a few scenes where the tears are overflowing. It looks like you better have tissues handy when you see this film in theaters on June 6.
