Those itching to seen one of J.K. Rowling's works hit the big screen will only have to wait a little more than a year, as Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is set to release in theaters on Nov. 18, 2016.

The New York Daily News reports Warner Bros. announced Rowling will be the screenwriter and a producer for this Harry Potter spinoff film; however, neither the cast nor the director have yet been revealed.

Word got out there was going to be a Potter prequel last year. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them takes place about 70 years before Harry's adventures begins, and the film is actually based on a textbook from the fictional Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Instead of taking place in England and Europe, this story is set in the U.S--New York City--and follows Newt Scamander and his journey in the wizard world.

It was also recently revealed that Fantastic Beasts is just one of three films set to be released; this film will be part of a trilogy!
