Strong brand recognition goes a long way, especially if a company is looking to recruit college graduates.

Daily Finance reports Universum—an international consulting and brand marketing firm—released its annual survey that reveals what companies 50,000 undergraduate and graduate students want to work. The undergrad students surveyed study business, engineering, computer sciences, natural sciences and humanities, and the grad students are working towards a master's in business administration.

Google scored high among those studying business, engineering, computer sciences, humanities and those getting their MBA; Apple placed in the top 5 among business, computer sciences and MBA students; and Disney appeared in the top 10 in business, natural sciences, humanities and engineering.

"This generation is looking for employers that provide development, training and mentorship," Universum's senior account director Kortney Kutsop told Daily Finance.
