We gave UCLA fans a hard time in the past by listing reasons why they are the absolute WORST. But, it looks like we may owe them an apology, because all of that obnoxiousness was probably just great school spirit.

According to the College Football Fan Index (CFFI), UCLA has one of the 10 best student sections in college football (via USA Today).

UCLA was No. 7 on the list, behind the Florida Gators but in front of the University of Alabama. A Wall Street Journal analysis found that while many colleges have seen a decrease in fan attendance at football games, UCLA has seen an impressive increase in the last few years. Way to go, Bruins!

Throughout the season, the CFFI will be able to see which schools have the strongest fan index as fans vote for their school in different categories. For example, the Oregon Ducks have the best uniforms, USC is one of the top 10 schools with the best fight song, and the Washington Huskies was voted high for its tailgates.
