Written by former UCLA Extension student Dee Jae Cox, “Prove It On Me” tells the story of a young, wealthy, white socialite who stumbles into a Harlem blues club in 1929. There, she’s entranced by the sounds of blues singer, Georgia Brooks (Sweet Baby J’ai).

Not only is being attracted to a woman controversial for daughter-of-a-millionaire Lindsey Dalton (Aynsley Bubbico), but the woman of her affections is not even of the same class or color. Everyone sees doom written on the wall as the two lovebirds flirt with impending disaster.

Sprinkled with New Orleans voodoo, guarded family secrets, sexy singing and sensual choreography courtesy of Ameenah Kaplan, “Prove It On Me” offers a playfully dangerous and sinfully seductive take on forbidden love.
