Nackman is a singer-songwriter/guitarist who has a rich, emotive voice that sounds at times incredibly like Don Henley, so much so that it is impossible to listen to Still Life Moves and not hear echoes of Henley’s work both as a solo artist and as a member of the Eagles. Nackman isn’t full of vitriol like Henley though; there’s nothing snarky to be found in the most Henley-esque tunes like the upbeat “Wait for Me” or the hopeful sadness of “Banking on November.”

Most of the music on Still Life Moves is very introspective, but Nackman takes a few minutes to bubble with joy on “Polaroid Face” and rock out with the album closer “Berlin.”
