Francophiles, foreign film buffs and expats alike will make their yearly decent upon the Director’s Guild headquarters the week of April 14 through 20 for the annual COL-COA (City of Lights, City of Angels) Festival.

The festival is the place to be for premieres of the best in current French cinema, Happy Hour Talks with dynamic panel discussions, director Q&As, a film noir series, as well as the beloved Sunday program of feature films and shorts, which is free to the public. As a special treat, audiences have a chance to cast their votes in favor of their favorite films, one of which will be chosen for the audience choice screening in the Sunday program.

Highlights of this year’s lineup include Claude Lelouche’s shining star of Cannes, Roman de Gare, comedic smash hit (in France anyway) Welcome to the Land of Shtis and the César Awards heralded film of the year, The Secret of the Grain. The festival wouldn’t be complete without the annual birthday cake and drawing for a free trip to Paris to close out the festivities.

The DGA Theatre Complex is located at 7920 Sunset Blvd., West Hollywood. For more information, visit www.colcoa.org.
