Depressing and difficult-to-watch at times,
Take Out offers a look into the harsh reality of undocumented Chinese deliverymen who bond together over being homesick and their struggle to save money. It’s slow-paced and painfully real (maybe a little too real), but it’ll make you take a second look at the people who deliver food to your door when you’re too lazy to go out.
Grade: B
Take Out releases in select theaters Sept. 19.
