So he’s not Patrick Swayze. But Josef Brown, who plays bad boy/good dancer Johnny Castle, is a spectacle to behold on stage, from his chiseled abs and handsome face to his fancy footwork and smooth charm. A few times throughout the production the crowd screamed out with joy, oohing and aahing at his sheer hotness.

But enough about him. Britta Lazenga, as Johnny’s dance partner Penny Johnson, might have the longest, most flexible legs in Hollywood and is as graceful and mesmerizing as her hunky partner. Amanda Leigh Cobb is adorable as “Baby” (and also a ringer for Jennifer Grey), and the music – i.e. the Oscar-wining “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life” – consists of a string of loveable, unforgettable hits. But the real star of this show is the “Dancing.”
