Do OC people like to go to the movies?: If so, tell us why.

I'm getting a lot of complaints that we are not screening enough in Orange County. Well, here is your forum. Why should we do more screenings down there? Give me some reasons and I'll see what I can do.

It ventures off the original movie but has the same basic skeletion. The 3D was cool but added little to the overall movies awesomeness, I was hoping for big epicness and although some of the fighting scenes were pretty awesome , others just were lacking (the finale of the battle with Hades jjust comes to an abrupt end and if you blinked then you missed it). I was happy and lucky that I got to see this in advance and for free!

One of my favorite and first indie movies i saw was Brick, loved that movie as soon as i saw the trailer, i saw it opening night and met the director. I even saw his recent flick 'The Brothers Bloom', also very good. Indie flicks provide a better movie experience for audiences who want to think, for audiences who are tired of the same old Hollywood ending. The 3 last "indie films" that i saw were 500 Days of Summer (cute movie),Away We Go (Very understated and hilarious) and Is Anybody There? (a slow but touching film with Michael Cain)

Its close, convinient, the environment is great, and screenings are always fun in OC. personally i live in the Long Beach area so it takes me about 20 minutes for a screening in OC or 30-45 minutes (depending on traffic) to get to screenings in LA. its a close and easier commute and screenings are less packed in OC which is great too. We freak out over upcoming movies, but don't get the premieres and special screenings here, also there is less 2 do here then in LA so movies are very important 2 us.
