The Los Angeles Galaxy bounced back from a defeat with a sounding 2-0 victory over the visiting Toronto FC at the Home Depot Center. Midfielder David Beckham netted his second goal of the season and assisted on his third en route to helping the hosts maintain solid play on the field.

The Galaxy improved to 10-5-11 with 41 points (two away from Houston) and are in second place in the Western Conference. Beckham scored in the ninth minute off a right-footed shot and then assisted on forward Edson Buddle’s goal in the 83rd minute. Buddle made his first start since July 16, and it was indeed a healthy one.

After a two-match homestand, Los Angeles travels to Ohio to face the Columbus Crew Saturday for a 4:30 p.m. kick-off time.
