It was a hot summer night at The LINE Los Angeles on Wednesday, where celebrities and scores of guests and influencers came out to celebrate the launch of skincare brand, Glow Recipe’s new line of Avocado Melt Retinol face and eye makeup products.  The event, hosted by Glow Recipe co-founders, Sarah Lee and Christine Chang was held at the hotel’s greenhouse, restaurant and nightclub space, Openaire and did not disappoint. Glow Recipe pulled out all the stops by featuring product samples, live runway performances and a giant Glow Recipe Bowl, where guests could climb into the world of encapsulated retinol and have their photos taken.

Guests were encouraged to come to the event dressed in green and many did, as they walked into the venue making clever green fashion statements. Waiting inside, were Openaire bartenders, who generously poured potent drinks for attendees including the evening’s signature cocktail, “The All-Nighter,” a concoction of Mezcal, chile honey and Elderflower.  Also on hand were Openaire waiters, making their way through the crowd with avocado themed hors d’oeuvres including an avocado gazpacho and an avocado toast that was delicious.

Celebrity attendees included renowned makeup artist Angel “MacDaddyy” Marino, who, along with a team of backup dancers, treated the crowd to some phenomenally choreographed dance moves, beauty magnate Desi Perkins, makeup artist Patrick Starrr, fashion designer Michael Costello, actress Cassie Scerbo, actress AnnaLynne McCord, podcast host Catt Sadler, star of RuPaul’s Drag Race Laganja Estranja, and a slew of influencers all eager to sample the new products.

As the evening drew to a close, all guests left with a Glow Recipe gift bag featuring company products including the Avocado Melt Retinol Eye Sleeping Mask ($42.00) which treats dark circles and milia, nourishes skin and locks in moisture; an Avocado Melt Retinol Sleeping Mask ($49.00); a Watermelon Glow Ultra-Fine Mist ($28.00) and a Mount Lai jade eye massage tool ($30.00). This tool reduces puffiness and eye bags, awakens and rejuvenates the eye area and aids in the absorption of eye cream into the skin.
