Weeks later, I've found your invitations to go see Hanna and Jane Eyre in my spam folder. Sucks. I think I fixed the problem for a more hopeful next time. Thanks.

Hanna really kicked some booty. There were some elements over the top: Cate Blanchett, the climax, etc. There's a twist which wasn't exactly a shocker, but the build-up to it was great. The action sequences were awesome. Saoirse Ronan is probably the best actor of her generation. Read my full review: http://cinesnatch.blogspot.com/2011/04/movie-review-hanna-mild-spoilers.html

"Hanna" was close to an indie sandwich between "Run, Lola, Run" & "The Bourne Trilogy," but I had shown the grim interest in the story which falls flat throughout the film with a salty character development despite a clever concept & a gifted cast that can't offset the movie's subtlety & restraint. The fight choreography was highly skilled though. Blanchett's performance as a ruthless CIA agent was unique. I didn't hear a slight applause from the audience at the end.

This was a KILLER movie! I thought the sound design was most excellent. It really was fun to watch and never boring. I really loved the cold closing on this film. I expect there may be sequels because... well, they seemed to set it up that way. But I did find it interesting that Eric Bana seemed to walk through the movie with very little to do except for his subway fight scene (done all in a single take).

Thanks 4 the passes CC. Hanna was the rarest of Action/Adventure movies, one with intelligence. It wasn't just about stuff blowin' up real good, there was a heart beating underneath it all. Saoirse Ronan's performance was amazing and heartbreaking. Eric Bana was very real & moving & Cate Blanchett is incapable of giving a bad performance. She was absolutely vile as the antagonist-almost cartoonish-but not quite, just the right tone. Watch out for Jessica Barden as Hanna's one friend, she may be arrested after this movie for scene stealing. The direction was taught and well-paced. The fight scenes were better than most veteran's of action movies accomplish. Not exactly Joe Wright's specialty. The script was well thought out and highly original for this kind of genre. Well done everyone. I think it's a hit!

Hey, CC, thanks for the passes to Hanna! Great suspense flick, excellent pacing, acting, a few weak spots [my biggest complaint being the titling, of all things!] but thoroughly enjoyable. Quite an interesting twist on a spy thriller. Worth seeing on the big screen!

Saw Hanna last night, it was decent, most of the movie was a chase seen but the music was great. Rate it a three out of five.

I really enjoyed it. It had an original spin with a sci-fi twist that made it feel unique. The performances were very enjoyable and the film locations gave it great visual ambiance. Visceral fight scenes more enjoyable than heavy gun play and CGI, gimme more of that Hollywood.

I went to your screening of HANNA at Arclight and got to sit in my favorite seats! The film was great. Beatifully designed, intelligent screenplay, appropriately scored, and good performances. This could have been an "also ran" without Joe Wright's succint direction and the talented filmmakers at his helm.
